Ilan Baruch (born in Jerusalem 1974) is one of Israel's most prominent painters.
Baruch paints in oil colors, a figurative realistic style with many details. His work is influenced by Orientalism, man's encounter with his environment, and history. The interaction with the land, sweat and soil is characteristic of his work. The unique factor of Baruch's painting lies in the fact that they do not deal with the essence of the conflict, but with the people who live in it and the landscapes that so characterize the biblical land of Israel. He studied archaeology at the Hebrew University and is fluent in both Arabic and Hebrew. He has put on many solo exhibitions, displayed at The Tel Aviv Museum (2004), The Ramat Gan Museum (2013) and The Israeli Parliament (2022). His works are featured at major public and private collections in Israel and abroad.
